Lavonia authorities are investigating the death of an unidentified person found Monday in the area of David Ave, near I-85.
The Lavonia Police Department said a citizen checking wildlife cameras discovered the person and immediately called 911.
Lavonia Police Department requested the assistance of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation at the scene.
The deceased individual was turned over to Franklin County Coroner Scott O’Barr for transport to the GBI Crime Lab for an autopsy
