LOGANVILLE, Ga. – North Hall scored a touchdown in each quarter as they took down Walnut Grove Friday night, 28-6, to open 8-4A play.
Parker Carlton got things started with a 5-yard touchdown run on the opening drive to take the 7-0 lead with 10:03 to play. Early in the second quarter, Tanner Marsh scored his rushing touchdown from a yard out, doubling the Trojan lead.
From there, Ryals Puryear broke open in the passing game early in the third quarter for a 59-yard pitch-and-catch from Marsh to take a 21-0 lead. The Warriors finally got on the scoreboard at the 6:46 mark in the fourth quarter, but Tate Ruth capped off the night with a 9-yard touchdown run with 3:38 left to seal the win.
Marsh finished 20-of-28 passing for 215 yards and a touchdown, adding on 49 yards rushing to lead the ground attack.
The Trojans will host East Hall next week in a battle of unbeatens in 8-4A.
