Investigators with the Hall County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Gainesville man Wednesday, September 20, and seized nearly five pounds of marijuana.
Sheriff’s office officials said Israel Delarosa, 35, of Gainesville was arrested after a search warrant uncovered the drugs and $36,000 in U.S. currency at his home on Wildwood Drive.
Investigators said the marijuana is estimated to carry a street value of nearly $8,000.
Delarosa faces charges of felony possession of marijuana and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.
Delarosa remains in the Hall County Jail without bond.
