All but one game on Friday's schedule involves region contests as virtually every region in northeast Georgia has some key matchups on tap.
A huge showdown in region 8-4A will have the No. 10 Cherokee Bluff boys playing host to No. 2 North Oconee in a cross-over game. The South of the region on the boys side is undefeated against the North subregion so far.
Another huge matchup has the Class 2A eighth-ranked Union County boys (12-2, 1-0 Region 8-2A) playing host to Athens Academy (11-2, 0-0 Region 8-2A) in Region 8-2A.
There are key games in Regions 8-7A, 8-6A, 8-5A, 8-4A,7-3A, and 8-2A.
