JEFFERSON, Ga. – Jefferson scored 49 unanswered on their way to a 49-7 win over East Hall Friday night.
The Vikings struck first, but Gavin Markey tied the game with an 8-yard rushing score before Mickell Pittman took the lead for good with his 3-yard rush in the second quarter. Markey then found Talan Childress for a 35-yard pitch-and-catch to lead 21-7 before Dallas Russell found the endzone from seven yards out just before halftime.
Markey threw his second touchdown of the night early in the third quarter on a 56-yard bomb to Dalton Dye before Rett Hemphill powered in from seven yards out. Russell scored his second rushing score of the night to finish the scoring.
Jefferson will have next week off before finishing the regular season against Cherokee Bluff and Oconee County the final two weeks of the season.
