Week 10 of high school football might have been the best yet. There were 18 games on the schedule, including Thursday, and most of them were very good games.
North Hall all but claimed the Region 6-3A title with a 21-16 win over Lumpkin County, but the rest of the region still has a lot to figure out. White County fell to GAC, while Dawson County held off Chestatee, 22-20.
Jackson County clinched its first winning season since 2012 with an impressive 27-10 win over Winder-Barrow.
Flowery Branch kept its playoff hopes alive and put themselves in control of their own destiny with a 20-17 overtime win over Walnut Grove. Banks County got its first win of the season in a 34-20 victory over Providence Christian. Lakeview set a new record for wins in a season with a 38-11 win over Athens Christian.
And Gainesville rebounded from last week's loss with a solid win over Chattahoochee on the road.
