By Steve Winslow Anchor/Reporter

It's another week of relief for drivers and gasoline consumers in Georgia with dropping gas prices, as weather temperatures are also dropping for the weeks of autumn.

AAA of Georgia's website is reporting that the average price for unleaded regular gasoline statewide has dropped four cents from one week ago, to $2.70 per gallon (as of Monday).

Hall County's average price (as of Monday) sits at $2.60 per gallon, with the lowest prices in northeast Georgia found in Towns County at $2.47 per gallon and the highest average price found in White County, at $2.78 per gallon.

Nationwide, the average price has actually crept upward this week by two cents, to $3.20 per gallon, but remains four cents lower than the price from one month ago.

According to new data from the Energy Information Administration (EIA), gas demand durged from 8.52 million barrels a day last week to 9.65.  Meanwhile total domestic gasline stocks plunged from 221.2 million barrels to 214.9 million, while gas production increased last week, averaging 10.2 million barrels daily.
