Makayla Hope Porter, 24, of Clermont, was arrested on Saturday after she allegedly had sexual contact with a juvenile in Gainesville.

The Hall County Sheriff’s Office said deputies responded to the 1300 block of Ga. 369/Browns Bridge Road to reports of a runaway juvenile from South Carolina possibly being in the area.

Deputies found the 15-year-old boy and Porter in a car in the back of a parking lot.

They were both taken to HCSO Headquarters to speak with investigators.

According to the investigation, Porter met the boy at a concert and continued speaking with him for multiple weeks.

“The juvenile then traveled to Gainesville to meet with Porter. She had sexual contact with the juvenile while he was in Gainesville,” HCSO officials said.

The juvenile's parents were contacted and traveled to Gainesville to pick him up.

Porter was booked on one count of felony statutory rape and she remains in the Hall County Jail on a bond of $5,700 as of this afternoon.
