FGN Week 11 wrap: Jefferson makes statement; East Hall wins shootout

By AccessWDUN Staff | Video by Dylan Halloran

Drama filled games were the story of Week 11 of high school football.

North Hall made it official, winning the Region 6-3A crown with a 55-7 win over Johnson. Rabun County's bid to win the Region 8-A Division 1 title came up short in a 34-28 loss to Athens Academy.

East Hall knocked off West Hall in a shootout in Rabbittown, while Chestatee held on to take down White County and keep pace for a playoff spot in Class 3A. Union County fell to Sonoraville in triple overtime and Gainesville's comeback ran out of time in a 48-45 loss to Roswell.

Jefferson made a statement in 8-3A with a 35-7 win over Cherokee Bluff, setting up their opportunity to win the region next week. Commerce ran away from Banks County in the second half, and Lumpkin County did the same to Dawson County.
