Jelly Roll to perform in Winder for Apalachee High School students

Singer Jelly Roll will host a private performance for Apalachee High School students and faculty  at Jug Tavern Park  Saturday. 

The City of Winder said in a Facebook post the private performance will take place at 1:30 p.m. with several road closures in the area before and during the performance. E Athens will close on Friday, October 25 for Spooktacular and remain closed through Saturday. Additionally, E Candler and Jug Tavern Park will be closed all day Saturday. 

The city also said parking downtown will be limited. 

There will be several entry guidelines to view the performance, whith security screenings in place. Clear bags are recommended.

Only those with school issued AHS wristbands will be permitted into the venue. All other guests will be sent to an overflow lot while space permits. Weapons, alcohol, chairs, and coolers are prohibited, however, blankets and closed non-alcoholic drinks are welcome.  

“This private event aims to foster healing and unity for the students, faculty, and families of Apalachee High School as they come together to reflect and support one another following September’s tragedy,” the facebook post stated. “Thank you for your cooperation in making this a safe and enjoyable event for the Apalachee community!” 

The event will feature food and beverage vendors and a water station.
