LOGANVILLE, Ga. – Jackson County shut out Loganville Friday night in a 31-0 dominant win for the Panthers.
It was the fourth straight win for the Panthers (7-2, 4-1 Region 8-5A) and their longest win streak since 1992. They remained in second place in the standings.
After Carson Odom hit a chip shot early, Dayla Maxwell found a 35-yard rushing score to take a 10-0 lead midway through the first quarter. RJ Knapp then hooked up with Caden Daniels for a 60-yard passing score to stretch the lead to 17-0 in the second quarter.
Two minutes later, Maxwell, who finished 154 yards for the game, had his second rushing score of the night, this time from 12 yards out to take a 24-0 lead into intermission. Maxwell scored the final touchdown of the night later in the third quarter on a 45-yard sprint.
Knapp went 11-for-19 with 172, yards and 1 TD passing for Jackson County. Caden caught 4 passes for 138 yards and 1 TD for the Panthers.
Jackson County will travel to Habersham Central next week in both teams season finale.
