Gainesville man arrested after allegedly causing multiple collisions, running from scene

By Will Daughtry News Reporter

A Gainesville man was arrested on Monday after allegedly causing “multiple” traffic accidents on Browns Bridge road during the morning rush hour.

The Hall County Sheriff’s Office said that the initial collision occurred at around 8 a.m. when a driver, 32-year-old Brandon Quertez Goss, was traveling on Browns Bridge Road and crossed the centerline of the roadway. This caused him to strike a Ford F-250 traveling the other way.

“That pickup truck started spinning counterclockwise and it side-swiped a westbound pickup truck that was actually traveling behind Mr. Goss,” HCSO spokesperson B.J. Williams said. “Mr. Goss cointuned to travel westbound even after those accidents.”

Goss’ vehicle was disabled after side-swiping another vehicle while traveling in the wrong direction.

Goss ran from the scene and a brief search by HCSO’s K-9 team located him hiding under a porch on Holland Drive.

He was taken into custody and charged with driving under the influence, two counts of hit and run, no insurance, driving with a suspended license, and driving with a suspended tag.

Goss is currently in the Hall County Jail with an $18,660 bond.

No injuries were reported in the collisions.
