Plane crash in White Co. leads to occupant being transported to NGMC

A plane crash in White County caused the single occupant to be transported to Northeast Georgia Medical Center Gainesville. 

White County officials report that at around 1:30 p.m. on Friday, they received the report of the crash at Mountain Airpark in Cleveland. 

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) was notified and first responders arrived within six minutes of the initial call.

Witnesses were able to remove the single occupant from the single-engine RV-8A aircraft. 

Fire and EMS assessed the individual and transported them to Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville.

The accident is under investigation by the FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB).
