FORT VALLEY, Ga. – Chestatee did all they could to keep up but fell in a shootout at Peach County Friday night, 56-33.

Trailing 28-7 after the first quarter, the War Eagles kept fighting back, getting a passing score to Bryan Silguero to trim the lead to 28-14 midway through the second quarter. Peach County responded immediately by getting a pair of touchdowns to stretch the lead out to 42-21, but Chestatee got a little momentum back before halftime as Colton Steele broke free for a 40-yard rushing score to trim the elad to 42-20 at the break.

The War Eagles locked down defensively to start the second half before Steele found another touchdown late in the third to cut the lead to 15, but the Trojans drove the field to score before the end of the quarter to take the lead back out to 49-27.

Izayah Ledford kept the War Eagles within striking distance with a quick touchdown to start the fourth quarter, but Peach County got the final two touchdowns to earn the win.
