The White County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO) is reporting that they made three drug trafficking-related arrests in relation to a traffic stop last Friday.

WCSO stopped a Ford F-150 driven by 58-year-old Charles Laster of Atlanta. A K-9 was deployed and they found more than an ounce of marijuana was found along with five individually-packaged amounts of methamphetamine and an additional two ounces of meth inside the vehicle.

A subsequent search warrant was conducted on Monday at Laster’s residence. During the search warrant, officers found 14 individually packaged amounts of meth, heroin, and roughly one ounce of black-tar heroin.

They also found multiple drug-related objects including pipes, packaging material, and a firearm with the serial number removed.

The three arrests made were:

  • Laster on charges of trafficking meth, possession of meth with intent to distribute, and possession of marijuana over an ounce.

  • 42-year-old Michelle Scott of Cleveland on charges of possession of meth with intent to distribute, trafficking heroin, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

  • 43-year-old Drew Kangiser of Cleveland on charges of possession of meth with intent to distribute, trafficking heroin, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
