Habersham County begins to swear in elected officers for 2025

The newly elected officials for Habersham County's government and public safety departments will be sworn into service this week, with ceremonies beginning today.

The Habersham County Probate Court will be hosting and conducting the ceremonies through Thursday, December 19.  Three County Commissioners (two re-elected and one newly elected) will be sworn into service, along with three regional judges, two School Committee members, Tax Commissioner, Solicitor General and County Sheriff.

 

Tuesday, December 17 ceremonies, beginning at 10:00 a.m. includes:

-David Clyde Wall, Clerk of Superior Court, at 10:00 a.m.

-Jessica Barrett Martin, Solicitor General, at 10:15 a.m.

-Bruce Harkness and Kelly Woodall, Commissioners, at 10:30 a.m.

-Doug Westmoreland and Robert Barron, Board of Education members, at 10:45 a.m.

-Tricia Hise, Chief Magistrate Judge, at 11:00 a.m.

 

Ceremonies will be held on Wednesday, December 18 for the following:

-Ty Akins, Commissioner, at 10:00 a.m.

 

Thursday, December 19 ceremonies will include:

-B. Chan Caudell, Superior Court Judge for Mountain Judicial Circuit, at 2:00 p.m.

-William R. (Bill) Oliver, Superior Court Judge for Mountain Judicial Circuit, at 2:30 p.m.

-June Warren Black, Tax Commissioner, at 2:45 p.m.

-Robin Krockum, Habersham County Sheriff, at 3:00 p.m.

-Kasey McEntire, County Coroner, at 3:15 p.m.
