72-year-old Flowery Branch man found safe after reported as missing

72-year-old William "Billy" Obrien of Flowery Branch has been found.

That's according to Flowery Branch Deputy Police Chief Todd Templeton. 

Templeton reported him found at 8:44 p.m. Wednesday night.

A 72-year-old man has been reported missing in Flowery Branch.

The Flowery Branch Police Department reported that William “Billy” Obrien of Flowery Branch was last in contact with his family on Wednesday.

At that time, he indicated he was experiencing medical distress. Family also told police he suffers from dementia. 

Police believe Obrien is driving a silver 2016 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck with the license plate HU32CI. 

The vehicle was spotted at around 11 a.m. in the Grantville, Georgia area and against at around 2 p.m. in the Douglasville, Georgia area.

Anyone who spots Obrien or his vehicle is asked to call 9-1-1 immediately.
