Father and daughter arrested in Forsyth County vehicle theft

A father and daughter were arrested on Dec. 11 in Forsyth County after being caught with an allegedly stolen car and firearm. 

The Forsyth County Sheriff's Office said in a Facebook post Friday that two deputies received an  alert regarding a stolen black Dodge Caliber that had been seen driving along Hwy 9.The deputies were able to stop the vehicle occupied by Scott Wallis and Brittany Brumbelow on Matt Hwy. 

The department said the pair allegedly assaulted a woman after being asked to leave her home, then drove away with her vehicle and her firearm. 

Both Wallis and Brumbelow were arrested for felony theft by receiving stolen property and remain in the Forsyth County Jail.
