2024 Dahlonega Literary festival set for early March

The 19th annual Dahlonega Literary Festival will be held at the Dahlonega Baptist Church, on Saturday, March 2. 

This year's festival will feature various genres for both fiction and non-fiction fans. With sessions starting at 9:00 a.m. and running until around 6:00 p.m. 

Sharyn McCrumb, nationally acclaimed southern author will be this year's headline author. The event will include twenty other featured, and fifteen other regional authors in attendance discussing their books and writing process.

Professor D. Tanya Bennett from the University of North Georgia will be leading a panel on Lillian Smith, an author and early social activist on racial and gender issues.

All events except lunch will be free and held at the Dahlonega Baptist Church, 234 Hawkins Street. The traditional “Lunch with Authors'' will be held at the University of North Georgia Campus, 404 Georgia Circle, Dining Room A with tickets selling in mid February for $20.
