GAINESVILLE, Ga. — East Forsyth and North Hall both moved on in the Region 8-4A tournament with wins on Friday at the North Hall gym.
North Hall advanced with a 57-15 win over Johnson, while the Lady Broncos held off East Hall, 48-40, in the first round of the tournament.
The Lady Trojans (17-8) next will take on Walnut Grove on Monday at North Oconee in the quarterfinals.
East Forsyth (14-12) next will take on North Oconee on Monday at North Oconee.
In the Lady Trojans win, Braelyn McCall had 12 points to lead the way. Athena Vachtsevanos and Genesis Satterfield each had 10 points for North Hall.
For the Lady Broncos, Ayla Heard finished with 16 points. Abby Smilnak added 14 points, including four 3-pointers, for East Forsyth.
Haley Barton led East Hall with 13 points.
