Regions 8-6A, 8-5A, and 8-4A all will hold key region matchups to highlight Friday's action around northeast Georgia.
A key matchup on the boys side has Flowery Branch heading to No. 3 Clarke Central in 8-5A openers for both teams. In 8-4A for the boys, No. 8 Chestatee plays host to Walnut Grove.
In Region 8-6A, Habersham Central plays host to Apalachee while North Forsyth travels to Gainesville in the region openers for all four teams.
An interesting non-region showdown has the Class 4A fourth East Hall boys heading to Class 3A 10th-ranked West Hall.
