ATHENS, Ga. — Georgia's Charlie Condon has been named the Dick Howser Trophy Player of the Month for February, according to an announcement by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association.

The University of Georgia sophomore third baseman/outfielder had a prolific nine-game stretch to open the 2024 season. He hit .639 (23-for-36) with seven homers and 13 RBI. Condon scored 17 runs, had five doubles and a triple and drew eight walks for a .696 on-base percentage. Recently, he belted an eighth homer in a two-game sweep over Georgia Tech. He is hitting .568 through the first 11 games of the year and that ranks third nationally while his 1.273 slugging percentage is second nationally. Last season, Condon, hit .386 with 10 doubles, one triple, 25 homers and 67 RBI.

Also, the NCBWA announced LSU right-hander Luke Holman as its national pitcher of the month. A native of Sinking Springs, Penn., Holman went 2-0, 0.00 ERA with 18 strikeouts and one walk in 12.1 Innings.
