There are just a handful of games set to hit the pitch on Friday but none will draw more attention than when the Johnson and East Hall boys meet in Valhalla.
The Class 4A No. 1-ranked Knights (10-1-1, 9-0 Region 8-4A) already have clinched the Region 8-4A title while the seventh-ranked Vikings (9-4, 4-4 Region 8-4A) who have been eliminated from the playoffs, would love nothing more than to snap Johnson's 62-match region win streak going back to 2015.
On the girls side in Region 7-3A, White County (5-6, 2-2 Region 7-3A) travels to Gilmer (9-5, 2-2 Region 7-3A) with both teams trying to stay alive for the final playoff spot. Both teams still have No. 2 Wesleyan (11-1-1, 4-0 Region 7-3A) left to play to close out there region schedules so the loser will be on the brink of elimination.
