A Flowery Branch man will serve a lifetime sentence following this week's conviction on sexual battery and child molestation charges in Hall County.

Northeast Georgia District Attorney Lee Darragh reports that 31-year old Charles Tremaine Moore was convicted Wednesday, May 1 on two counts each of aggravated sexual battery and child molestation for the assault on a nine-year old girl who was known to Moore through her family.

Gainesville Police Investigators learned that the victim was told by Moore back in September of 2022 not to tell anyone of the incidents before she notified a school teacher about the assaults that reportedly took place at her home.

According to D.A. Darragh's press release, the jury for the case was out less than an hour before returning guilty verdicts on all counts. Senior Judge David Irwin sentenced Moore to a lifetime prison term with a minimum 30 years behind bars before any possible future probation and other sex offender requirements.
