The City of Gainesville will once again host its First Friday concert on August 2.
The event, which will feature a performance from the Fly Betty Band, is a part of the city’s annual summer concert series that takes place on the first Friday of the month from May through September in Downtown Gainesville.
Parking around the square will be closed off Friday at 1 p.m. with street closures to follow at 3 p.m.
Pre-show activities will begin at 4 p.m. complete with a kids zone, happy hour, and shopping, and live music from Jesse Biondi.
The featured concert will officially begin at 7 p.m. with an opening performance from the Gary Carter Band. The Fly Betty Band will take the stage until 10 p.m., when the event ends.
Free parking will be available at all parking decks in Downtown Gainesville, located at:
Main Street Parking Deck, 301 Main St.
Hall County Parking Facility, 225 Green St.
North Parking Deck: 130 Main Street.
