A man who was arrested Friday on more than 100 charges of exploitation of children worked at multiple schools in the Northeast Georgia area over the past five years.

Blake Lawrence Edwards, age 32 of Gainesville, was arrested Friday after Hall County Sheriff's Office investigators said they found he had possessed more than a hundred videos of child sexual abuse material on external hard drives at his home on Walnut Grove Way and had shared other similar videos on a peer-to-peer file sharing platform.

Officials at Riverside Preparatory Academy in Gainesville confirmed Tuesday that Edwards was employed at the school "without incident" from 2019 to 2023. Gwinnett County Public Schools officials also confirmed that Edwards was a physics teacher at Mountain View High School near Lawrenceville for the 2023-2024 school year, resigning on May 23, 2024.

Edwards remains in the Hall County Jail without bond as of Tuesday afternoon.
