FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. — The East Forsyth defense stopped a late Flowery Branch drive to hold on to win, 14-10, at Falcon Field on Saturday.
The Broncos (5-1, 1-1 Region 8-4A) rallied twice to lead the punch-for-punch battle.
But the first half was all defensive, with the Falcons (1-5, 0-2 Region 8-4A) finally taking the lead, 3-0, off a 25-yard field goal with 3:40 left.
The Broncos answered the scored three minutes later with a 19-yard Brock Szackacs pass with 29 seconds left in the second quarter to take the lead at halftime, 7-3.
Jackson Prehar pushed the Falcons back in front on a two-yard TD run with 3:39 remaining in the third quarter for a 10-7 advantage, but EaFo added a touchdown late in the fourth quarter to take the lead for good, 14-10.
