Hall County to hold public input meeting for proposed South Hall park center

By Caleb Hutchins Assistant News Director

Hall County's Parks and Leisure Service is preparing to hold a public input meeting later this month regarding a proposed "park and active life center" in the south end of the county.

A release by the county this past week said the meeting will be held on Wednesday, January 22 at the Spout Springs Library in Flowery Branch from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

"We are excited to hear from residents and work together to shape a facility that will serve as a hub for recreation and wellness in South Hall," Hall County District 1 Commissioner Kathy Cooper said in a statement.

The location of the proposed center has not been released, but county officials said the goal of the center is to provide "recreational amenities, fitness programs, and other services designed to promote an active and healthy lifestyle."

Those who have questions about the project or the upcoming meeting are asked to call Hall County Parks and Leisure Services at 770-535-8280.
