Stephens County commuters may want to avoid a regularly traveled route for much of Friday morning.
According to the Stephens County Sheriff's Office social media page, Davis Road at Singleton Road will be shut down until further notice due to a motor vehicle accident involving two semi trucks. Responding deputies reported there were no known injuries.
Stephens County officials suggest that all traffic from Defoor Road should reroute along Scott Road or Sunset Road, with all traffic on Davis Road from Highway 17 to use Singleton Road to Scott Road.
The SCSO social media page also suggests that drivers should use caution and slow down, as the accident has occurred in the curve near Singleton Road. No word on when officials hope to have the wreck scene cleared and officials have not identified the parties involved in the wreck.
