A man was arrested in southern Gwinnett County Thursday after allegedly shooting at sheriff's deputies.
The Gwinnett County Sheriff's Office says the deputies were serving a warrant at a home in Snellville when the incident happened.
"During the operation, an individual, later identified as Denzel James Thompson, opened fire on deputies," a release from the sheriff's office said.
No one was hurt in the gunfire. Gwinnett County Police officer, including a SWAT team, helped to take Thompson into custody.
Thompson is being held in the Gwinnett County Jail on several charges including aggravated assault against a law enforcement officer and discharge of a firearm near a public highway.
