FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. — Per multiple reports, the Atlanta Falcons are expected to release All-Pro defensive lineman Grady Jarrett.
ESPN's Adam Schefter in a X post, and WSB-TV out of Atlanta, both are reporting that the 10-year veteran, who has spent his entire career to this point with the Falcons, will be released into the free agent pool.
Jarrett, a star at Clemson, was selected with the 137th overall pick in the fifth round by the Falcons in 2015. Atlanta traded two draft picks (the 146th and 187th) to the Minnesota Vikings to move up and take Jarrett that year.
For his career, Jarrett has 496 total tackles, including 36.5 sacks. He had 53 tackles and 2.5 sacks in 2024. His best season to date was in 2019 when he amassed 69 tackles and 7.5 sacks that season.
