Fourth-seeded East Forsyth (12-6) pulled off the biggest upset of the night, knocking off No. 1 seed Eagles Landing (10-1) on the road, 7-1, in the opening round of the Class 4A playoffs.
In Class 5A, No. 1 seed Habersham Central (12-3) captured a 5-1 win over Coffee (6-12) in the first round. They’ll face Region 1-5A No. 2 seed Lakeside-Evans at home on Wednesday, April 30—game time to be announced.
Jackson County (14-5) also advanced to the second round with a 2-1 win over No. 2 seed Lee County (12-4) in Leesburg.
The Panthers await the winner of the Rome-Evans game.
