A student at West Jackson Middle School near Hoschton was arrested Friday night on charges of making terroristic threats and disruption of a public school.
A release late Friday by the Jackson County Sheriff's Office did not reveal details about the nature of the threats, but said they took place over the past two days.
"We will not take these cases lightly," the sheriff's office statement said.
The student, whose name was not released due to his status as a minor, was taken to the Gainesville Regional Youth Detention Center.
