Robert Boren

On Friday, March 27, 2020 we lost a beloved husband, son, father, brother, uncle, grandfather, nephew, friend. Robert Boren, 49, of Suwanee, Georgia died from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.

Robert was born June 6, 1970, in Annapolis, Maryland. Robert worked in payroll related occupations and developed his skills until becoming a payroll tax analyst with Ultimate Software.  He and his family volunteered with the Gwinnett Humane Society for almost a decade and fostered many dogs. Robert enjoyed sessions at the shooting range with buddies and motorcycle rides with #UltiRiders. But not much interfered with his “Ava/Pops” day each month.

He is survived by his wife Catherine Boren; daughter Kirsten Castellanos and her fiancée Alex Rayner; his son Nicholas Boren; his grandchildren Ava, Adi, Isaac, and Layla; his mother Sarah Boren; sister Gayle Norris and husband David; niece Meagan Diegelman and husband Bryan, and niece Erin Norris; great-niece Makayla; and extended family Haywood, JoAnn, and Chris Owens.

Although this family stretched from Georgia to Texas we enjoyed the boisterous laughter and sincerity of love in his relationships with us. His friends and co-workers experienced true companionship and leadership in off-time and in work.

He is preceded in death by grandmothers Myrtie Owens and Gertrude Boren.

He relished his north Georgia mountain rides and Sunday grill days.

During this time of limited large group gatherings, the family will hold a small private memorial and announce a Celebration of Life honoring Robert at a later date.

Robert had previously requested that he continue to aid in the betterment of mankind and be donated to scientific research. This wish is being fulfilled by his family.
