Terrence Wayne (Terry) Spires

Terrence Wayne (Terry) Spires, 53, of Buford, Georgia, passed away on April 9th, 2020 at Emory Johns Creek Hospital in Johns Creek, Georgia.

A private service will be held at Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel and Gardens on April 17th, 2020 at 1pm with Chaplin Danny Park officiating.

Terrence was born in Toledo, Ohio to Thomas Spires and Marilyn Perry-Youngman on March 13, 1967. He went to Bowsher High school and graduated in 1985. As a teen, he was active in all team sports and spent summers at Bittersweet Farms working with autistic adults and on the golf course as a golf caddie. He was a devoted husband, father, son, uncle, brother in-law, nephew, cousin, and friend. He was the life of the party, living each day to the fullest and his smile was infectious. He was kind, fun, loyal, creative, inspiring and passionate about everything he did.  He was a family man who loved and adored his wife, children and their four-legged fur babies Sammy and Peaches. He met his wife in 1988 and married in 1993 in Toledo, Ohio and enjoyed 26 years of marriage. He has three sons, Zack, Nick and Vincente who he dedicated all his love, energy and enthusiasm. He taught them strong values, work ethic and to follow your dreams. He started his career in the pest control business in Toledo, Ohio working for Orkin. His career path relocated him to Charlotte, North Carolina, and Greenville, South Carolina before making his permanent home in Georgia with Team Pest USA where he worked as Vice President of Operations for 17 years and considered them family. In his career at Team Pest he served as Technical Director, companywide Sales and Service Trainer, Customer Relations, Chemical and Application Technique Director, Manufacture-Distribution Relations liaison, and Director of HOA Relations Division. He received the company’s highest recognition dedication award for his undeniable commitment to the company’s success earning their highest esteem. His creative marketing skills developed into a very successful staple in the industry, a networking group called The Gamechangers.  He enjoyed collecting memorabilia, attending Atlanta Falcon games with his family where he was a season ticket holder for 19 years, watching his favorite college football team, Michigan Wolverines, firepit nights with friends, LR Way Strip gatherings with “the Avengers”, rapping on the mic, watching his favorite shows Seinfeld, Impractical Jokers and Stranger Things, and listening to his favorite music artist, Prince. Terrence volunteered his time with the CAI Green Committee and Social Committee as well as in his community on the HOA board and Social Committee. 

Terrence is preceded in death by his father, Thomas Spires and mother, Marilyn Perry-Youngman.

Terrence is survived by his wife, Christina, and his sons Zackary, Nicholas and Vincente, four nieces, nephew, great nephew and great niece, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to all family and friends for your outpouring of love and support during this difficult time. We were all impacted by his presence in some way and we are truly blessed to have known him. May he rest in peace.
