Robert Gilman Folsom, Jr

Robert Gilman Folsom, Jr., age 89 of Gainesville, passed away on Thursday, April 16, 2020 at his residence.

Mr. Folsom was born August 12, 1930 in Jacksonville, Florida to Robert Gilman Folsom, Sr. and Grace Arnold Folsom. He served in the United States Air Force and was retired from the Fort Lauderdale News-Sun Sentinel as the editor. He attended Westminster Presbyterian Church. Mr. Folsom was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Jon Folsom and his son, Brian Folsom.

Mr. Folsom is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Nancy Folsom of Gainesville; son and daughter-in-law, Robert Gilman Folsom, III and Debra of Gainesville; daughter and son-in-law, Eleanor and Ricky Hedger of Gainesville; sister, Ann Sease of Jacksonville, FL; 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
