Helen Birdie Hamilton May, age 80 of Homer, Georgia formerly of the Batesville Community, Clarkesville, Georgia passed away on Saturday, May 02, 2020.

Born in Habersham County, Georgia on October 29, 1939, she was a daughter of the late Fred & Susie Martin Hamilton. Mrs. May was a retired seamstress. In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening and crossword puzzles.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul May; son, Stacy Medlock: & sister, Ellen Hamilton Elsen.

Survivors include daughters & sons-in-law, Terrie & Curtis Ellerbee of Dahlonega, GA; Tammy & Shane Palmer of Toccoa, GA; grandchildren, Corbin Martin of Kennesaw, GA; Kayla Waters of Rome, GA; Karen Martin of Jasper, GA; Kristi Medlock of Homer, GA; brother, Terrell Hamilton; sisters, Dorothy Tart, Tex Burns, & Tess Franklin; all of the Batesville Community, Clarkesville, GA; great-grandchildren, Ari Waters & Cadie Medlock; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, & friends.

Mrs. May’s wishes were to be cremated.
