Kenneth E. “Kem” Martin

Kenneth E. “Kem” Martin, age 60 of Buford, GA, died Sunday, May 3, 2020.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, May 6, 2020 at 2 PM at Hamilton Mill Memorial Gardens. Pastor Danny Newbern will officiate. A private family visitation will be held at Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel.

Kem was preceded in death by his mother, Verlyn Martin; grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Huelon Martin, Mr. & Mrs. Russell Holbrooks.

He is survived by his children, P.J. Martin (Amanda), Buford, Tara Ammons (Brian), Buford; grandsons, Brody and Brantley Ammons; father, Emory Martin (Lucy), Mineral Bluff, GA; brothers and sister, Steve Martin (Sabrina), Buford, Stacey Thrasher (Lee), Sugar Hill, Jeff Martin, Dawsonville; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins; special friend, Ms. Willie Veal, Buford.

Kem was born in Buford and was a lifelong resident of the area. Kem graduated from North Gwinnett High School, Class of 1977. He was a member of the Buford Masonic Lodge #292 F&AM and was of the Baptist faith. Kem enjoyed cars, drag racing and spending time with his family and he will be greatly missed.
