Maria Gomez

Mrs. Maria Gomez, 74, of Gainesville, GA passed away on May 28, 2020 after a battle with an extended illness.

Memorial Services are scheduled for Thursday, June 4, 2020 at 2:30 p.m. at the Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel. Father Hernan Quevedo will officiate. The family of Mrs. Gomez will receive friends on Thursday, June 4, 2020 starting at 12:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m.

Maria was born on August 15, 1946 to the late Luis Garcia and Maria Del Carmen Hernandez in Durango, Mexico. Mrs. Gomez was a homemaker and a member of St. John Paul II Catholic Mission church.

Mrs. Gomez is preceded in death by her parents, brother Cleto Garcia and son Reyes Gomez-Garcia. She is survived by Husband Juvenal Gomez of Gainesville, daughter Maria Gomez of Gainesville, daughter Catalina Herrera of Oakwood, Son and daughter-in-law Salvador and Eva Gomez of Durango, MX, Daughter Lucia Gomez of Gainesville, son and daughter-in-law Felix and Estela Gomez of Gainesville, daughter and son-in-law Leticia Gomez and Jesse Roman of Gainesville, son and daughter-in-law Juvenal Gomez and Nancy Castaneda of Durango, MX, son and daughter-in-law Valentin Gomez and Teresa Delacruz Gomez of Gainesville, son and daughter-in-law Miguel Angel Gomez and Nubia Soto-Gomez of Gainesville, daughter and son-in-law Maria Alejandra Gomez and Juan Gonzalez of Talmo, daughter and son-in-law Raquel Garcia and Alfonso Arroyo of Durango, MX, brother Remedios Garcia of Durango, As well as 56 grandchildren and a number of great grandchildren.
