Gracie Mae Lance

Mrs. Gracie Mae Lance, age 75, of Dahlonega passed away Tuesday, June 2, 2020.

Mrs. Lance was born in Union County on November 27, 1944 to the late Lee Burt and Flora Phillips Watkins. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Robert Lance; brothers Jerry Watkins, David Watkins, and Leon Watkins; grandson Brendan Bartholf Lance; sister Wanda Charles; five brothers-in-law; and two sisters-in-law. Mrs. Lance was a loving wife and mother. 

Survivors include daughter and son-in-law Anita Jamey Brooks; son and daughter-in-law Robert Wayne and Vicky Lance; sons Johnny Dwayne and Tiffany Lance, Bobby Shane Lance, and Jackie Lane Lance; brother and sister-in-law Tommy and Alice Watkins; sister and brother-in-law Juanita and Roy “Bug” Helton, Jr.; sisters Mandy Lou Franklin, Nancy Gooch, and Mary Peck; special nephews and nieces Randall and Yvonne Watkins, and Derek and Angela Watkins; close family members Robert and Catherine Brooks; 17 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 AM Saturday, June 6, 2020 at the chapel of Anderson-Underwood Funeral Home. The Rev. Josh Chatham and the Rev. Calvin Gooch will officiate. Interment will follow in Hightower Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday and Friday at the funeral home.
