D. Ronald “Ron” Strickland, age 76 of Hoschton, GA, died Thursday, June 4, 2020.

Funeral service will be held Monday, June 8, 2020 at 2 PM at Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel. Pastor Clint Strickland will officiate. Interment will follow at Hamilton Mill Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends Sunday, June 7, 2020 from 6 – 8 PM at the funeral home.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Dewey Clinton Strickland and Della Woods Strickland; sister, Beatrice Battles.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda Strickland, Hoschton; children, Kimberly Vickery, Dallas, GA, Jason Strickland, Atlanta, Amanda Plunkett, Suwanee; grandchildren, Christopher Vickery, Alexis Plunkett, Alyssa Plunkett, Aaron Plunkett, Jr., Asa Plunkett; brothers and sisters, Barbara McDaniel, Cumming, Betty Sabo (Jerry), Lilburn, Lynn Shroyer (Ted), Lawrenceville, Dorsey Strickland (Pat), Dallas, GA; brother in-law, Ron Bone, Braselton.

Ron was born in Smyrna, GA and was a lifelong resident of the metro area. He retired as a salesman with Parnell-Martin. He was a member of Suwanee First Baptist Church and the president of his neighborhood association.
