Karen Sorrells Ramey

Mrs. Karen Sorrells Ramey, age 58 of Waters Edge Drive, Martin passed away Saturday, June 13, 2020 at the Stephens County Hospital.

A daughter of Winnie Cleveland Crisp and the late William Boyd Sorrells, she was born December 2, 1961 in Stephens County, Georgia where she lived all her life. She was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Dillon McIntyre.

Survivors include her mother, Winnie Cleveland Crisp of Toccoa; two daughters and son-in-law, Brandy and Jerome Canup and Keri Ramey both of Martin; son, Casey Ramey of Martin; three grandchildren; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Michael and Mary Sorrells and Ronnie and Rhonda Sorrells of Toccoa; sister and brother-in-law, Kathy and Tim Sorrow of Toccoa.

Graveside service will be Thursday, June 18, 2020, 2 O’clock p.m. at Dickson Cemetery with The Reverend Ricky Wade officiating. The following will serve as pallbearers, Jason Emory, Dixon Emory, Robert Emory, Kathy Sorrow, Michael Sorrells and Ronnie Sorrells.

The family will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Thursday from noon until the service time. Due to the current conditions in our community, social distancing is required.

Interment will follow in the Dickson Cemetery with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements for Mrs. Karen Sorrells Ramey.
