Nancy Ruff Ward

Nancy Ruff Ward, age 79, of Commerce, GA passed away on Saturday, June 20, 2020. She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-three years, Ernest Lee Ward; daughter, Teresa Ward; parents, Jim and Evelyn Ruff; sister, Betty Jo Evans; and brothers, James Ruff and Billy Ruff. Mrs. Ward is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Annette and Calvin Ashworth, Commerce, GA; sons and daughter-in-law, Michael L. Ward, Athens, GA and Scott and Susie Ward, Jefferson, GA; grandchildren, Jason Ashworth, Holly Ashworth, Connie Robinson and James Ward; great grandchildren, Cal Ashworth, Justus Robinson, Jaxton Trammell and Landon Ward; sister, Mary McGee, Cartersville, GA; sister-in-law, Linda Ruff, Cartersville, GA; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Mrs. Ward was born September 14, 1940 in Cartersville, GA. She was a homemaker. She was a member of West Buford Baptist Church in Buford, GA. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 23, 2020 at 12:00 noon in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Bennett and Rev. Arthur Southerland officiating. Graveside service and interment will follow at 3:00 p.m. at Woffords Cross Road Baptist Church Cemetery, 299 Old Tennessee Highway, Cartersville, GA 30120. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, June 22^nd from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
