Judy Lane Price

Judy Lane Price, age 75, of Haddock, GA, formerly of Decatur, GA, passed away Thursday, July 2, 2020.

She was born August 12, 1944 in Alabama to the late Tommie and Juliette McPherson Frederick; and was also preceded in death by her husband, James Don Price.

Judy married Don on December 24,1959. She absolutely loved and adored her family. The  internal love she had for our daddy was beyond measure. She loved music and loved to dance. She passed along that dance rhythm to many of us. She enjoyed playing with the grandchildren and great grandchildren with childlike motivation. They all have memories of playing with Nanny! She  was known for her sweet, simple and compassionate spirit. She never met a stranger. Judy was known by so many as “Nanny” or “Short Nanny”. Not one day went by that she wasn’t doing something that made us all laugh, from the signs she would paint and hang up at her “Someday Farm” to the silly things she would write in cards and send to us. We will always remember the frying pans that she gifted all of us each year at Christmas. She loved the outdoors and had a passion for deer hunting. Her home is filled with deer mounts from her and our daddy spending many weekends together at their hunting club. Judy was a member of Haddock Baptist Church in Haddock, GA. "You will always be in our hearts because there you’re still alive."

Judy is survived by her children and spouses, Pamela Price Kirby, husband Keith Kirby; James Keith Price; Gayle Price Lint, husband Jimmy Lint; grandchildren, Donald Johnson (wife Shannon); Adam Kirby (wife Emily); Rikki Rowe (husband Jake); Travis Kirby (wife Jessica);  Austin Price (fiancé Samantha); and Brian Price (fiancé Shelby); great grandchildren, Walker Scott Rowe and Judah Augustus Kirby; brothers and sisters, Frank Frederick (wife Diane);  Linda Harris (husband Buster); and  Jody Lewis.

A Celebration of Life service is scheduled for 1:00 PM Saturday, July 11, 2020 in the Little Davenport Funeral Home Chapel, 355 Dawsonville Hwy., Gainesville, GA. 

The family will receive friends at Little Davenport Funeral Home in Gainesville from 12 Noon until service hour.
