David Keith Benfield

David Keith Benfield, age 60 of Clarkesville, passed away Tuesday, July 14, 2020.

Born in Habersham County on August 28, 1959, Mr. Benfield was the son of Lewis Henry Benfield and the late Betty Martin Benfield.  Mr. Benfield loved old cars and going to rod runs and NASCAR.  He enjoyed watching the Atlanta Braves and was an avid Georgia Bulldog fan.  Mr. Benfield was employed in the weave room at Lumite and he was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church. 

Survivors include daughter Amanda Benfield Oltremari and husband Anthony of Milledgeville, father Lewis Henry Benfield of Clarkesville, grandsons Derek Oltremari and Landon Oltremari of Milledgeville, brother Ronnie Benfield of Clarkesville, sisters and brothers in law Diane and Terry Lovell of the Batesville Community and Linda and Robert Smith of Banks County, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.

In consideration of public health and safety, private memorial services will be held at Hillside Memorial Chapel, on Saturday, July 18, 2020.
