Charles Millsap

Charles Millsap 77 of Gainesville passed away on Monday August 10^th. Charles Millsap, a lifelong resident of Hall County was born in Flowery Branch to the late Seaffers Sr. and Ruby Nell (Teasley) Millsap. Charles was the husband of his beloved wife Linda with whom he celebrated 60 years in marriage.  He received a formal education in the Gainesville School System.  He later enlisted in the United States Army, serving for years in the Vietnam War tour of duty where he was injured and received an honorable discharge.  For over 40 years he was employed by Hall Tire Company and was affectionately called  “the neighborhood tire man”. 

An avid reader of novels, he enjoyed watching any western movie, telling colorful stories and jokes about family and friends, and helping others with no hesitation, at times giving all he had to others. 

He was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather and brother.  Surviving in addition to his wife, are his children, Michelle Millsap of Florida, Christopher Millsap, Kendall Millsap, Derek Millsap of Gainesville, Ga; grandchildren,  Demond Tyrane(Ty)Millsap, Makita Deann Millsap, Tequan DeShawn Millsap, Kelden Charles Millsap, La Tiba Millsap, D’Andre Armand Millsap, Andreas William Millsap, all of Gainesville, Ga; brothers , Seaffers Jr.(Eva) Millsap, Gainesville, Ga., Gary (Tangia) Millsap, North Carolina; sister, Mattie R. McCrary, Gainesville, Ga.; aunts and uncles, John W. Teasley, Rev. L. C. (Kathy) Teasley, Mattie Jewell Williams; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  He is preceded in death by his brother Calvin Millsap.  

The visitation for Mr. Millsap will be Friday August 14^th between the hours of 12-7 pm at Wimberly Funeral Home. Mr. Millsap’s Celebration of Life will be Saturday August 15^th at 1pm Graveside at Memorial Park Chapel. Professional Service Entrusted to Wimberly Funeral Home.
