Minnie Ramey Tuggle, age 92, of Sugar Hill, GA passed away Thursday, August 13, 2020.
She was preceded in death by husband of forty-one years, Sam W. Tuggle, and daughter, Gelaine Smith. Mrs. Tuggle is survived by her daughter, Genny (David) Hamrick, Sugar Hill; grandchildren, Jeff and Joellen Pugh, Covington, GA, Amy and James Johnson, Winder, GA, Russell Hamrick, Sugar Hill, GA, Kevin Smith, Commerce, GA; great grandchildren, Ansley Johnson and Aiden Johnson, both of Winder, GA; step great grandchildren, Davis Kimball, Alpharetta, Owen Kimball, St. Simons Island; longtime companion, Linton Echols; sister, Dorothy Holbrooks, Woodstock; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Mrs. Tuggle was born on November 3, 1927 in Buford, GA. She was a homemaker and had also worked as a cook at the following: North Gwinnett High School when it first opened, Sugar Hill school, and Atlanta Falcons in Suwanee. Mrs. Tuggle loved cooking and gardening, and was well known for her homemade biscuits and fried pies. She was a member of Riverside Baptist Church.
A private burial will be at Gwinnett Memorial Park in Lawrenceville, GA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, 41 Perimeter Center E 550, Atlanta, GA 30346 in memory of Minnie R. Tuggle, or to GA Transplant Association, 2201 Macy Dr, Roswell, GA 30076. A private family viewing will be held; there will be no visitation at the funeral home.
