Beulah Mae Thacker, 82, of Cleveland, Ga passed away Friday August 14, 2020 at the Oaks at Limestone.
Born May 9, 1938 in Dawson County to the late Joseph and Lourain Chumley, she had lived in Cleveland for the past 12 years having moved from Tate, GA. Mrs. Thacker retired as a cafeteria cook for the Pickens County School System following 30 years of service. A member of Amicalola Baptist Church, she was also preceded in death by her husbands, Charlie R. Chambers, Robert H. Thacker; son in law, Verlin Franklin; sisters, Winnie Smith, Dorothy Gentry, Gladys O’Bryant, Bonnie Thurmond; and brothers, Olin Chumley and Grover Chumley.
Surviving are her children, Melissa Franklin, Maryville, TN, Cecilia Chambers, Cleveland, Robert D. and Rebecca Thacker, Cleveland; sister, Lois Keller, Stockbridge; 4 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 1 great great granddaughter; and a number of other relatives.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday August 18, 2020 at 11 o’clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Jason Hamby will officiate. Interment will follow in the Free Hope Baptist Church Cemetery in Tate, GA at 1 o’clock.
The family will receive friends Monday from 2 until 5 at the funeral home.
