Mrs. Winnie Marie Cleveland Crisp, age 85 of Toccoa passed away Sunday, August 23, 2020 at her residence.
A daughter of the late William Lewis Cleveland and Angeline Burton Cleveland, she was born January 19, 1935 in Habersham County, Georgia having lived most of her life in Stephens County. She was retired from Coats and Clark and later from Food Service. She was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Karen Sorrells Ramey; four brothers, two sisters, a grandson and a great-grandson.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Tim Sorrow of Toccoa; two sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Mary Sorrells and Ronnie and Rhonda Sorrells both of Toccoa; twelve grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, Grover and Stella Cleveland of Toccoa and Charles and Nancy Cleveland of Cornelia; sister-in-law, Edwina Cleveland of Toccoa; a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, August 26, 2020, 2 O’clock p.m. in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with The Reverend Alan Cole and The Reverend Ricky Wade officiating. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Tyler Sorrow, Bailey Durden, Jason Durden, Brian Sorrells, James Cleveland and Danny Swain.
The family will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Wednesday from noon until the service time. In view of the current health conditions of our community, social distancing must be observed. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.acree-davisfh.com.
Interment will follow in the Rock Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements for Mrs. Winnie Cleveland Crisp.
