Priscilla Devanna English

Priscilla Devanna English, Age 72, of Buford, GA, passed away August 23, 2020.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Henry L. and Mattie Roberts English; brothers, Edward English and Alfred Nelson English; sister, Sarah English Hardnett.  She is survived by her son, Harry Sterling (Wilhemeina “Tinnie” Smith) Sanders, Buford, GA; daughters, Latonya (Jason) Barnes, Donta Rachel Sanders; grandchildren, Mikaiah, Jaylen and numerous other grandchildren; great-grandchildren, Ayden and Kashton Sanders and other great-grandchildren; brothers, Henry (Phyllis) English, Lula, GA, Louis (Taing) English, Buford, GA, Kerry English, Hampton, GA, John (Bella) English, German; sisters, Annie Dunahoo, Mattie Singletary, Buford, GA, Stella Anubus Majors, Birmingham, AL, Henrietta B. English; host of other relatives.  Mrs. English was born February 17, 1948 in Buford, GA.  She attended Buford High School.  She also worked as a supervisor at Pineisle Resort at Lake Lanier and went on to Foster Parent for Creative Community Services and then retired from Gwinnett County Senior Center.  She fostered several children and friends.  Miss English’s heart extended to all in need and she opened her home and kitchen.  She instilled love in age. A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, 2:00 p.m., August 29, 2020 at the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Minister Bernard Slaton officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery, Buford, GA.  They will receive friends, Friday evening, August 28, 2020 from 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m.
